The Doria Feminist Fund seeks to create a feminist ecosystem where the new generation of feminist movements in the MENA region has access to more and better funding and resources, which enables the development and sustainability of its activism to advance the rights, wellbeing and security of all women & LGBTQ+ individuals and groups.

Role of Board

The Doria Feminist Fund Board comprises leaders from feminist and women’s rights movements in the MENA region who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. Serving on the Doria Board is an extraordinary opportunity for women who are passionate about strengthening leadership and governance in feminist and women’s rights movements in MENA.

Board members will attend two board meetings per year, read board materials in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in governance, strategic and political discussions. Board members will be asked to serve on one or more committees of the board and to actively participate in committee work. Board terms last for three years and board members can serve for up to two consecutive terms. Monthly time required would be about 8 - 10 hours.

To apply to become a member of the Board of Doria Feminist Fund, please complete the form at this link. Please apply by July 29, 2022 with the first board meeting in October.

Selection Process

The Interim Board of Doria Feminist Fund will review all applications and relevant candidates will be selected for interviews by the end of August 2022. Interviews will be held in September 2022. The final successful candidates will be asked to join a Doria Board meeting in October 2022.
